Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #14 ~ Give Thanks

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #14 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe Theme/Mood Board for this challenge is: "GIVE THANKS".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Thank You (2873-J)

Close Up Detail

Card Recipe:
Sentiment stamped with Versamark on vellum and then embossed using Ranger Gold embossing powder. I die cut the embossed layer using the 2nd largest Stitched Hexagon from MFT. for the background I used a small hexagon die from my stash and die cut hexagons from the Autumn Leaves mini stack from DCWV which has been in my stash for a very long time. I then went about piecing all the mini hexagon die cuts to form the background on a thin piece of cardstock, while tedious and attention to placement were hard the outcome was amazing.  I think it resembles a quilt. Assembly, I cut down the the pieced layer and attached it to a rust colored piece of cardstock sized to A2, for the velum embossed layer I carefully applied tombow glue to the backside paying careful attention to only place glue where the embossing was. Attached embossed layer to top of pieced layer, then adhered the whole thing to the front of a top folding landscape sized piece of Neenah 110lb cardstock sized to A2.  Lastly Nuvo Crystal Drops in Clear were added for accents.

Victorine Originals ~ Boo!

Good Morning,

Today is my day to take over the Victorine Originals Blog. In keeping with the "HALLOWEEN" Theme/Mood Board I chose to use Halloween Kids for my inspiration today.

Card Recipe:
I started with a 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of black 110pd cardstock and used a stencil and some grey chalk ink to create a nice spooky Halloween night background, I also used a scattered star stencil to apply some faint stars. Once I was happy I removed the stencil(s) and decided exactly where I wanted my Ghost and Pumpkin from the Halloween Kids set to be.  I used a stitched rectangle die from my stash to die cut the layer then I went about stamping the ghost with versamark and using black embossing powder heat set the image.  I cut a mask of the ghost and again using versamark stamped the pumpkin next to the ghost and using neon green embossing powder heat set this image.  For the sentiment I used the BOO! included in the set stamped in versamark and again used the neon green embossing powder. I then set about coloring in the pumpkin with prismacolor pencils in orange and black.  For the ghost I used my pencils in white, grey, nectar, blue and black. Lastly I had some bats that I had diecut in bulk from my stash that I popped up using seed beads and gave them a quick swipe with a spectrum noir sparkle brush pen. I cut a neon green sheet of cardstock to A2 size and glued it to the front of a side folding piece of Neenah 110pd cardstock, then glued my stenciled/stamped/embossed layer to the top.

Don't forget there is still time to enter your "HALLOWEEN" themed projects into our challenge...

Unicorn Cake

Good Morning Dreamerz!!!

Todays post is not a Design Team post for once, LOL I actually have been quite busy in my craft room creating but just have not had the time or energy to blog non DT projects in a while.  I was browsing the My Besties web store and came across the most adorable digi stamps with Unicorns!! lets just say this made me one happy crafter, plus there was a coupon code for 60% off, so it was meant to be.. Todays card features Enchanted Unicorn Sweets  This image was just perfect for a friend who had her birthday yesterday and best part of all she owns the most amazing bakery that caters to many of our local weddings, birthday parties and civic events.

Card Recipe
I uploaded the digi into Craft Artist and added the rainbow background then printed it off onto watercolor paper. Die Cut using a pretty stitched scallop edge die and set about watercoloring the image.  I used Faber Castell watercolors then applied Gansai Tambi Starry watercolors to the white parts of the cake. White gel pen used to add some extra fun and detail.  Lastly card was attached to an A2 sized card base of Neenah 110lb card stock. Purple/Lilac glitter enamel dots finished this card off nicely.

Thanks for having a look today, I hope you all have a splendid week.

Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #13 ~ Halloween

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #13 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe Theme/Mood Board for this challenge is: "HALLOWEEN".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Halloween Kids Set and Boarded Window

 closed

partially open

fully open window

Card Recipe:
I first created my card front using a piece of 110pd black cardstock cut to A2 card size and stamped the Boarded Window with versamark and used black embossing powder and to really make the image stand out I broke out my prismacolor pencils and added some paly grey and yellow to the wood boards.  Next I partial die cut the image from the center of the card to form a side opening window/door, then set this layer aside. I took a 110pd side folding piece of Neenah cardstock sized A2 and stamped the cute little ghost from the Halloween Kids set in a very pale grey and stamped the BOO! from the same set in a bright neon green ink.  I colored the lil ghost using various copic markers.  Once I was happy with how the image looked colored I took the black layer and glued it to the front of the card. I added some glow in the dark nuvo drops in green for eyes on the front of the Boarded up Window to make the eyes stand out and to help tie in the bold green of the BOO! on the ghost panel. The inside of the card has been left blank for now..

Victorine Originals ~ Thanks for your kindness...

Good Morning,

Today is my day to take over the Victorine Originals Blog. In keeping with the "Harvest" theme I chose to use Pumpkins On A Vine for my inspiration today.

Card Recipe:
Pumpkins were stamped onto a piece of patterned paper using a rust colored ink and then a green pencil was used to give a lil color to the vines and leaves. 3 strips of different colored washi tape were applied to a piece of kraft colored cardstock then I used a stitched edge rectangle die to cut down the layer for an A2 sized card base. I used a sentiment from Elegant Sayings that I embossed in gold embossing powder at the bottom
