Whisper "I Love You" ~ Victorine Originals

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals Blog. In keeping with the Wings theme I chose to use Wings Set 10580-X for my inspiration today.

Card Recipe:
I used an acrylic block with the 2 wings set very close together and stamped them in a random pattern on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 120lb card stock  using Distress Oxide in Broken China, the little butterfly body is from my stash stamped with Hero Arts Soft Granite. For the top layer with the sentiment I found a quote online that I have really loved for many years and I used my Serif Craft Artist 2 program to type the text and get it just the way I wanted, once I was satisfied I printed it off then die cut the layer as shown in the finished project. Both the sentiment layer and the butterfly layer are matted on a dark grey layer. Lastly I attached all layers as shown to a side folding A2 sized piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 120lb card stock

ATC ~ Oddball Art Stamps

Good Morning Dreamerz

Just realized I had nothing on the blog to post for a few days and thought I would share a few ATC's with you.  What is an ATC you ask? I will do my best to explain. An Artist Trading Card aka ATC is a baseball size card 2.5 x 3.5 inches that you can use any medium to decorate.  For my ATC's I chose Watercolor.

Well Dreamers, that is all for now, have a great day and see you all in a few days.

Camp Create Day 5 ~ Delightful Die Cutting ~ Happy Birthday

Good Morning Dreamers,

This morning I am sharing my card for My Favorite Things Camp Create  using the Delightful Die Cutting Technique

After watching the Delightful Die Cutting Tutorial Video I learned the best technique ever on how to align and line up those die cuts that need to to have just the right spacing and so that each piece goes exactly where it should be.  I have quite a few men in my life with birthdays coming up and I always struggle with making cards that are geared towards men.  So I set out to make a few using this new technique and after the first few I had a full on assembly line and was able to knock out quite a few in different colors in no time at all. Here is one of the ones I made, I kept most of the cards to a very limited color scheme relying on the different black and white patterns on the paper that I used for the candles to be the focal point of the card.

Card Recipe:
I started my project using the largest die from the My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched dies to die cut the very bottom base layer of my card from some blue paper from my stash. I then gathered up a bunch of the black and white pattern papers that I had a huge scrap pile of and I used those to die cut the candles using the Die-namics Birthday Candles die. Also from my scrap pile was a bunch of self adhesive silver glitter paper that I decided to use for the candle flames. The hearts were cut from white cardstock and then colored in using a copic marker. Once everything was die cut I set about using the technique from the video and WOW so so easy, no clue why I had never thought of this before.
I glued the the whole thing to the front of a side folding piece of A2 sized card base of black heavyweight cardstock from my stash

Camp Create Bonus Bonfire ~ Awesome Ombre ~ Your Hugs

Good Morning Dreamers,

This morning I am sharing my card for My Favorite Things Camp Create Bonfire Bonus project using the Awesome Ombre Technique

Card Recipe:
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb for the stamped layer cut to 5.5 x 4.25.
I used the all over stamp Everything Floral from Hero Arts embossed with white embossing powder.  I used Distress Ink Peacock Feathers to achieve the Ombre effect on my card. A stitched rectangle die from my stash was used to trim down the layer. I took Distress Ink in Ripe Persimmon and used a sponge applicator to color another sheet of cardstock, once done and dry I stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things Lots of Hugs stamp set using versamark and then white embossing powder. Cut down the sentiment to a strip and attached with adhesive. I glued the the whole thing to the front of a side folding piece of A2 sized card base of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 120lb cardstock.

Camp Create Day 4 ~ Monochromatic Magic ~ Tickled Pink

Good Morning Dreamers,

This morning I am sharing my card for My Favorite Things Camp Create using the Monochromatic Magic Technique

Card Recipe:
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb for the stamped layer cut to 5.5 x 4.25.
I used the all over stamp Fantasy Floral from My Favorite Things.  To get the colors from dark pink to light pink I used 3 different shades of chalk ink from my stash. I then used a stitched rectangle die to trim down the stamped layer. Then  I took the mid tone pink and used a sponge applicator to color another sheet of cardstock, once done and dry I took the darkest pink and positioned the paper so that just the flowers would be stamped and stamped them so that I could fussy cut them out as seen in the picture.  Again using the darkest pink I went around the edge of a top folding A2 sized card base of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 120lb cardstock.  I did this to tie in the whole Monochromatic theme. I glued the stamped layer to the card base, then the fun began, LOL. I used some silver thread to create the embellishment that would lay under the fussy cut flowers, then I glued the flowers down on top.  The sentiment is from the Tickled Pink stamp set from My Favorite Things.  I masked off the bottom part of the sentiment so as to only emboss the TICKLED PINK part on my black cardstock with white embossing powder.  I used My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Banner dies to die cut the sentiment. To affix the sentiment I cut a thin strip of black foam and glued it to the back of the banner to give a little dimension and then glued to the front of the card as seen.

Victorine Originals ~ Challenge #9 ~ Wings

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #9 on the Victorine Originals BlogThe theme for this challenge is: "WINGS".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Wings Set 10580-X

Card Recipe:
I used an acrylic block with the 2 wings set very close together and stamped them in a random pattern on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 120lb card stock using versafine embossing ink along with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder.

I used Distress inks and a blending tool to blend the Theme colors onto the embossed layer, once I was happy with my blending I flicked water using my fingers onto the layer, let sit for a few seconds and then used a paper towel to blot up any excess water which gives a very soft subtle distressed look to the layer. For the top layer with the sentiment I found a quote online that I have really loved for many years and I used my Serif Craft Artist 2 program to type the text and get it just the way I wanted, once I was satisfied I printed it off then cut the layer as shown in the finished project, I stamped one last butterfly using Antique Linen Distress Oxide and then again using my ink blending tool I went around the edges giving a soft subtle shade of color. Lastly I attached the butterfly layer to a top folding A2 sized piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 120lb card stock, added a layer of fun foam cut to size on the sentiment layer and attached to top of butterfly layer. For water drop embellishments I used Kat Scrappiness Sparkling Clear Droplets in assorted sizes

Camp Create Day 3 ~ Background Bonanza card 3 ~ Because Gold

Good Afternoon Dreamers,

This afternoon I am sharing my card for My Favorite Things Camp Create using the Background Bonanza Technique, this is card 3 of 3 that I will be sharing

Card Recipe
Paper is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb for the Background Blended layer cut to 5.5 x 4.25 aka A2 card size.
All Ink Blending was done using Distress Oxide Ink. I used Splatter Stencil from Altenew and Ink Blended Frayed Burlap, Iced Spruce, Faded Jeans, and Broken China. For each color of Oxide ink I turned the stencil 90 degrees to the left. Cleaning the stencil between each color. NOTE: I chose not to spray the layers of Oxide Ink on this project, I wanted to retain the creamy yet vibrant look of the ink. I diecut the blended layer using a stitched rectangle die from my stash . I then took the My Favorite Things BECAUSE die and die cut it 3 times from heavyweight white cardstock and glued each layer on top of the other to give the die cut some thickness and depth. To make this die cut stand out even more I smooshed it with versamark and applied 3 layers of antique gold embossing powder, this finished look is stunning and make the die cut look like it is enameled. I attached the die cut to the front of the card using a strong liquid adhesive.  I used some sparkling clear drops as embellishments. Lastly The completed layer was attached to a card base made from heavyweight black cardstock from my stash.

From the Garden ~ Victorine Originals

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals Blog.  I chose to use
Pea Pods for my inspiration today.  This is my second project this month using this delish stamp. I recently tried to buy a stamp from a different manufacturer that is nearly identical to this one and it was sold out.  Silly me I only had to look at Victorine Originals and it was right there!!

Tag Recipe:
Pea Pod stamped on Craft cardstock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, I colored in the image using Prismacolor Premier pencils and then used Gansai Tambi Starry watercolors in gold to add the highlights to the vines, leaves and to flick lil dots of gold across the whole front of image to add a bit of shimmer. I then used a long strip of washi tape from my stash folded in half and added to the layer as pictured. Lastly I die cut the layer using KatScrappiness Stitched Rectangle dies and adhered the layer to the front of a craft colored tag base. I did this so the tag would have weight and be thicker. I used a scrap piece of brown ribbon for my picture, but you could use anything you wish to attach to your project.

Don't forget there is still time to enter your "PURPLE" themed projects into our challenge, we now have 3 ways to play along. Check out this lovely inspiration board for the current challenge.

Camp Create Day 2 ~ Magnificent Masking

Good Afternoon Dreamers,

This afternoon I am sharing my card for My Favorite Things Camp Create using the Magnificent Masking Technique

Card Recipe
Paper is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb for the masked layer
This card started off on an A2 sized card layer and an A2 sized piece of masking paper. All Ink Blending was done using Distress Ink unless stated otherwise. I  used MFT Surf and Turf Slider Dies to cut the moon and the wavy line. I then applied all die cut mask's to the front of the card layer. I removed the section for the moon first and used hickory smoke and antique linen, replaced the mask over the top, then removed the mask for the sky portion and blended faded jeans, seedless preserves, and block soot.  Replaced the mask over the sky portion and moved to the ground. I used brushed corduroy and walnut stain in a blended yet splotchy pattern to give a dirt effect. Once I was happy with all my masked and blended layers I stamped a spooky tree in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink a few times with my MISTI, then I stamped it with versamark and applied clear embossing powder. I used a Q-Tip to rub some of the embossing powder off so that the tree would have a slight texture when I heat embossed it.  I used the stamps and dies from Grave Situation on grey paper from my stash and the Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. The clock is from my stash. I used 2 different stamps for the Been Cancelled sentiment. The HOW OLD? is also from my stash. The Youth B. Gone is from the Grave Situation stamp set. I had some die cut bats in different sizes in my stash and used those to embellish the card. Lastly The layer was attached to a black card base.

Stitched Rope Rectangle die is from Kat Scrappiness

Little Deer ~ MFT Camp Create day 1 ~ 3 Amigos Blog Hop Challenge

Good Morning Dreamers,

This Morning I want to share with you a cute card I created using paper from Close To My Heart.
The Challenge is using all Close To My Heart papers of a certain theme. This month it is using papers and elements from the "Jack" campaign.
I also decided to double up this cute card for My Favorite Things Camp Create using the Inlay Technique

Card Recipe
All paper is Close To My Heart with the exception of the card base which is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb
This card started off way different than how it is in the finished project. At first I was just going to create the white die cut deer and apply it with some to the top layer.  But then I thought that looked bland, so I die cut the deer a total of 4 times using Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb and glued them all together using a very strong adhesive.  Once it was dry I still felt it was lacking something, so I stamped the layered die cut with versamark and used WOW clear embossing powder and heat set it. YEP! Now I was happy with the way the deer looked as the embossing powder really makes the stitched edge of the deer stand out. I then used the deer die and cut out the black patterned paper layer because it would give the added stitching on which to put the white deer as an inlay. The word Little is from the same CTMH paper kit that I die cut using a fishtail banner flag and then attached to a larger fishtail banner flag to make the sentiment stand out.  Lastly silver enamel dots were added to the corners for interest.
SUPPLIES:
Paper is CTMH "JACK" Campaign and you can grab it right here: Jack Paper Pack
Silhouette Deer is from Jaded Blossom Stamps "Christmas Die Set"
Stitched Rectangle dies are from Kat Scrappiness
~
I do hope you will pop on over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenges and peek at all the lovely projects they have created using this paper.
While using CTMH paper is encouraged the challenge is open to anyone to enter if you follow the theme/colors/inspiration
~
I wish to thank all the lovely designers over at Three Amigos for letting me join them this month
