Turning a Sunflower into a Gerbera Daisy

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog Here's my inspiration for you using: Large Sunflower
Now I know the stamp is a sunflower but I really wanted to stretch the stamps use and decided to try using it as big bold bright gerbera daisy, you know the kind you see at the florist shops in an array of colors.

Card Recipe:
Using a piece of Strathmore Bristol Velum that I die cut I stamped the image with versamark and used clear embossing powder and heat set the image. The flower was then watercolored using Gansai Tambi watercolors.  The watercolor layer was then glued to a die cut piece of black wood grain paper that I used a Stitched Rope Nested Rectangle die.  The whole thing was attached to a piece of Neenah 110lb card stock cut to A2 size.

SumMoreFun ~ Challenge #18 ~ Happy New Years 2018

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is the start of Challenge #18 on the SumMoreFun Designs BlogThe Theme/Mood Board for this challenge is: "Happy New Years 2018".  Here's my inspiration for you using:
Backgrounds Set and Holiday Wishes

Close up detail of splatter behind clock face

Card Recipe:
Diecut the clock and hand 4 times from black cardstock and glued each layer together, then I applied versamark and peach gold embossing powder in 3 layers to clock face and black embossing powder in 3 layers to hands. To make the tips of the hands stand out I added a layer of the peach gold embossing powder. For the splatter behind the clock face I traced a circle on printer paper (to use as a mask) using the clock face as my guide. I then cut out the circle and applied the mark to the front of a 110lb layer of black cardstock. I took the long stick/scratch like scatter stamp from Backgrounds Set and randomly stamped inside the mask using versamark. I removed the mask and applied clear embossing powder and heat set the scattered images. For the sentiment I used the Christmas Merry & Happy New Year stamp from the Holiday Wishes set. To achieve just stamping the words Happy New Year I applied a piece of Post it Note tape as a mask to the front of the card so that only the Happy New Year part of the stamp would apply to the card, I repeated the same technique as the background splatter. The whole thing was attached to a piece of Neenah 110lb cardstock cut to A2 size. Black enamel dots were added for a lil extra dimension

SumMoreFun ~ Let's Get Flake-y!!

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog. As you can see I am still making Christmas Cards, hey no one ever said I was on the ball and getting things out on time.  Yes I am one of those Christmas Eve last minute shoppers you see pictured on the evening news. With that said here is my inspiration today for you using:
Let it Snow and Holiday Wishes

Non Blizzard

Blizzard Effect

Card Recipe:
I started off by using 3 colors of distress ink Dusty Concord, Blueprint Sketch, and Salty Ocean and doing some heavy blending I achieved the blend I was hoping for.  I then stamped the snowflakes with versamark and used white embossing powder and heat set the flakes. The sentiment was then stamped on vellum and white embossing powder used, the silver stars are from my stash (leftover from a previous project) and glued to the vellum layer. The velum was attached to the distressed and embossed layer by applying glue directly behind the stars.  This hides/keeps the glue from showing thru the velum.  The whole thing was attached to a piece of Neenah 110lb card stock cut to A2 size.

For the second card BLIZZARD EFFECT the recipe is the exact same except I wanted to achieve a look to the card as if it had been dusted with snow.  To achieve this look instead of using my embossing buddy before applying the versamark to the snowflakes, I took my fingertips and sort of grasped/smooshed them around the edges so that the oil from my fingers would grasp to the card and pick up embossing powder.

WCLBH 2017 ~ Santa Peeker GC ~ #2

Good Morning Dreamerz,

I'm back again!!  This has to seriously be the most fun part of the year. It's the time of year when the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop rolls around.  I look forward to this so much and start planning my cards months in advance.  Over the next week I will be sharing with you many cards that I have created just for this event.  I do hope you all will take a moment and join in, (see link below).

Today's card was inspired by all those in the "Service" industry.  You know the Postman/woman, restaurant servers, hairdressers, gardeners, you get the idea right.. Each year I go to Starbucks and buy $100.00 worth of giftcards, 2 $15.00, 4 $10.00 & 6 $5.00.  I buy all the exact same design of card and I have my husband tuck them into the greeting cards, this way I never know which person is receiving which gift card.  We know the Holidays can make everyone a little cranky and feel rushed at times, so we like to give these out to those who have taken the time to make us smile, and not make us feel as if we are a dreaded chore they have to do.

Card Recipe:
Santa Digi Stamp Santa Clause Peeker from Bugaboo Digi Stamps
