Mary's Sippy Cup

Good Morning Dreamerz,

Today I want to share with you the quickest and easiest project I think I have ever done! As all or most of you know I am on the Design Team for KaDoodle Bug Designs, but before joining the team I was a user of this companies cut and digital stamp files my first purchase from this company was in June of 2014.  Their files upload so seamlessly into my Cricut Design Space and they cut like a dream.
With all of that being said here is my project:

Project Recipe:
uploaded just the JPG into Cricut Design Space as a print and cut file
Cricut Brand Printable Vinyl
Brother MFC-9130CW Laser Printer
Stainless Steel Tumbler from WalMart

Thanks for looking and taking a minute to comment, as for me and my new Sippy Cup it will get plenty of use!!
Until later Dreamerz, Have a Great Day!!

Sea Turtle Pencil Topper ~ KDB

Good Morning Dreamers,

I am back today to show you this cute pencil topper I created using
DS Cutesy Sea Turtle from KaDoodle Bug Designs and Shrinky Dink film.

I printed the digi stamp inside a 3 inch circle to get the size correct.  I then used various copics and sharpie markers to color in the image on top of the shrinky dink film.  Once I was happy with the coloring I used a Stitched circle die from my stash to die cut the shrinky dink film into a circle.  I had quite a bit of space in the circle so decided to take a Happy Birthday stamp and stamp using StazOn black ink.  I then hole punch a circle in the top of the film just in case the recipient wants to take the turtle and put it on a keychain or tack it up on her office space work cubby.  I shrunk the film according to the package directions, waited for the disk to cool then affixed it with a repositionable glue dot to the center of the decoration that I had previously affixed to a pencil.

Thanks for looking this morning Dreamerz, and have a Great Day

Christmas Card ~ KDB

Good Afternoon Dreamerz,

Today I want to share one of the Christmas cards I will be sending out this year.  I like to get started early on my holiday cards as I think each recipient should receive their own 1 of a kind card. So in the coming weeks you will be seeing lots of Christmas cards here at Paper Dreamz.

This card was created using a digi stamp from the set
Christmas Silly Robots from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I water colored the whole card with Gansai Tambi watercolors, then went back over the robot with Gansai Tambi Starry watercolor in White Gold which is how he has that nice metallic finish.  I used glossy accents on the ornaments, star and a few select spots on the robot just for added dimension.

Thanks for looking Dreamerz, and have a great day!!

Going to Camp ~ Camp Create 3 Final Session ~ Divine Dry Embossing ~ Farewell Bonfire

Good Morning Dreamerz,

As the title of my post says I am going to camp!! This is not the camp of my yesteryear, this is a camp for crafters! My favorite kind of camp, no mosquitos, no embarrassing situations at the pond (don't ask), and the best camp counselors  aka MFT Designers, a crafty girl can ask for!!

Well as day 4 of camp came to a close I was still struggling with this new technique, and I really wanted to rush off and attend the farewell bonfire that night Divine Dry Embossing would just have to wait.  So I grabbed my marshmallows and glass of sweet tea and off I went to the bonfire and WOW so much fun! The bonfire was AH-Mazing, the colors of the fire with the reds, oranges, and yellows.  We also got to find out that there was a bonus project to do should we choose to and the theme was "Single Layer Savvy" I was so happy as this was something I love to do.  After the bonfire I came back to my bunk my head filled with ideas for the single layer card and I knew just what I wanted to create.  I used all the colors of a fire on the card, I masked, stamped and embossed, I just knew exactly where this card was going.  Then it hit me about the dry embossing project.  I was overthinking the whole thing!! So I set the bonus card aside and worked until the wee hours of the morning on the dry emboss technique.

So today I finished both cards up and am sharing them with you now.  I still have 1 day of camp to catch up on but there is still time here at camp.

Going to Camp ~ Camp Create 3 Final Session ~ Remarkable Resist

Good Evening Dreamerz,

As the title of my post says I am going to camp!! This is not the camp of my yesteryear, this is a camp for crafters! My favorite kind of camp, no mosquitos, no embarrassing situations at the pond (don't ask), and the best camp counselors  aka MFT Designers, a crafty girl can ask for!!

Well as day 3 of camp comes to a close I want to share with you what all the cool kids did at camp today.  Today the counselors had us create a project using the theme "Remarkable Resist".  I struggle so badly with this technique, so while I am still not super happy and realize the mistake of using the wrong paper, I used a shimmer paper thinking Oh WOW this will make it really look like the night sky, WRONG!.  My Distress inks did not lay down as smoothly as I had hoped.  Thankfully at this camp everyone is super encouraging..

Card Recipe:
My Favorite Things Hog Heaven Stamp Set used for the hog and sentiment
I made the starry background into a stencil using the SVG Cutting Files Card Front Overlay - Stars SVG File which I uploaded and cut using my Cricut Explore and a sheet of transparency paper
Recollections Cardstock
Emboss It Dabber from Ranger
Recollections clear embossing powder
Tim Holtz Distress ink in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass
craft foam cut and applied to top layer on the back then affixed to bottom layer
Stickles -Waterfall- applied to Hog's Wing.

I hope you enjoy my Camp Project and look at the swell badges I earned for participating on day 3.

Going to Camp ~ Camp Create 3 Final Session ~ Ombre

Good Evening Dreamerz,

As the title of my post says I am going to camp!! This is not the camp of my yesteryear, this is a camp for crafters! My favorite kind of camp, no mosquitos, no embarrassing situations at the pond (don't ask), and the best camp counselors  aka MFT Designers, a crafty girl can ask for!!

Well as day 2 of camp comes to a close I want to share with you what all the cool kids did at camp today.  Today the counselors had us create a project using the theme "Ombre".  So I set out to use 2 of my favorite colors lately Purple and Grey. Well as I was blending to create the ombre effect with my stencil it occurred to me to make a shaker card, but to reverse the ombre effect inside the shaker. WOW this came out great so I took it outside to catch a glimpse of it in the sunlight and sunlight was not all I caught! I caught an adorable Unicorn. Cute critter landed smack dab in the middle of my shaker all I could say was "Are you for real?"

Card Recipe:
My Favorite Things Magical Unicorns Stamp Set
Unicorn embossed with Ranger Black embossing powder then painted (filled) in using Gansai Tambi Starry Colors ~ White Gold
Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock
Tim Holtz Distress ink in Wilted Violet and Hickory Smoke
Sentiment from Magical Unicorns stamp set embossed using Ranger White embossing powder then dimensional foam strips applied to the back.
Clear iridescent sequins from stash.

I hope you enjoy my Camp Project and look at the swell badges I earned for participating on day 2.

Going to Camp ~ Camp Create 3 Final Session ~ Monochromatic

Good Afternoon Dreamerz,

As the title of my post says I am going to camp!! This is not the camp of my yesteryear, this is camp for crafters! My favorite kind of camp, no mosquitos, no embarrassing situations at the pond (don't ask), and the best camp counselors  aka MFT Designers, a crafty girl can ask for!!

So today's camp project challenge was to create a card using the theme "Monochromatic"
This was perfect for me as I had just recently found out a good friend of mine has been declared breast cancer free.  So what better way to tell her how happy I am for her than to create a pink themed card.
The My Favorite Things Hog Heaven stamp and die set's I think were made just for a card like this.

Card Recipe:
My Favorite Things Hog Heaven Stamp and Dies
MAMBI Breast Cancer themed cardstock
Stampin Up Black Ink
Pink Ribbon from stash
Sentiment from Hog Heaven stamp set and stamped with pink pigment ink then clear embossed on vellum.
Polka Dot cardstock die cut using
I used foam pop dots on the backside of all the lil piggies.

I hope you enjoy my Camp Project and look at the swell badges I earned for participating on day 1.

Jiggly Elf ~ KDB Blog

Good Morning Dreamerz

This morning I want to share with you a really cute interactive tag.  I used the Elf from the Digital stamp file called Christmas Kitchen

Here is a close up of the tag itself.

Tag Recipe:
Uploaded digi to Design Space, created the tag using the print and cut function and digital images in the design space library. I cut the digi of the elf on a separate layer then water colored him using Gansai Tambi Watercolors. I took distress ink to create a blue swirl background on the tag and then used some snowflake stamps with versamark and holographic embossing powder to add a lil sparkle and give the appearance of snow.  Since I wanted to make the tag interactive and give the elf the appearance of making snow angels I adhered a wobble action spring to his back.

I hope you have enjoyed my Jiggly Elf.

Have a great day Dreamerz..
