Let's Have an Adventure..

Good Morning Dreamerz..

A quick card to share with you before the first big weekend of the Summer season aka Memorial Day.  Jon and I will be heading to the river this weekend so I thought this was the perfect card to make for him and tuck away on the drivers seat of our new motorhome.  I hope you enjoy this cute card as much as I did creating it.

Card Recipe:
Digital stamp from KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutesy Sea Turtle, uploaded to Cricut Design Space and attached to my card layer then print and cut.  Colored in Prismacolor Premier pencils blended with Gamsol.
Sentiment is from Cricut stamped and embossed with Ranger White embossing powder then die cut using Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies 2, to give more movement to the banner I die cut a second layer in the same light turquoise card stock as on the card layer.
Tiny Flower cut from KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutesy Sea Turtle SVG set uploaded to Cricut Design Space sized to match digital stamp, then cut with purple patterned paper and yellow paper from my stash, fruit punch stickles applied to flower then flower had a nice thick layer of glossy accents applied.
Pilot Precise V7 pen used for eyelashes.
Sequins from my stash.

Have a great weekend Dreamerz!!!

Fun Under the Sun..

Good Morning Dreamerz.

This morning I am going to share with you a card I have been working on for a little while.  Why did it take me so long you may ask?  Well it is a digital stamp but I wanted to take it up a notch.  So I printed off the digital stamp thru Cricut Design Space where I was able to add the sentiment using the Write and Cut feature.  I printed off 3 copies to make 1 card.. I then cut apart the palm tree leaves, coconuts, his/her eye, and the Flamingo's wing so I could trace these cut away pieces onto patterned card stock.  I then attached the patterned card stock to the front of my card.  I think it came out fun..

Card Recipe:
Digital Stamp from Craftin Desert Divas Flamingo.  The image was colored first in Copics then gone over with prismacolor pencils, patterned paper used for the leaves, coconuts, eye and wing from my stash.
Pebbles Chalks applied to sky and around sand
Flip Flops SVG From Miss Kates Cuttables

Thanks for having a look today.

2 Creative Chicks Challenge 10

Good Morning Dreamerz..

This morning I want to share with you a project I created for a very dear friend who is having a baby next month.  I chose to make a shadow box for his nursery.  I hope you enjoy it.  All links and card recipe follow the pictures

Completed picture

Side view showing the foiling that I applied

Card Recipe:
Uploaded the Image from Oddball Art Co called "We're Here for the Baby" Into Cricut Design Space so that I could get placement and add the baby's name to the project.  Once I was happy with the placement and after choosing a nice bold font I sent it to my printer via Design Space and then cut the whole project on my Explore Air.
Colored completely in Prismacolor Premier pencils blended with Gamsol.
Pilot Precise V7 used to give a fine black line (clothesline)
Heidi Swapp Foil used with a GBC Laminator to apply foil over the name.
QuickQuotes Chalk ink in Blue Moon to add color to edge.
1/2 inch thick Foam applied to back to lift project off the background paper, this was done to add more depth to the project/shadowbox.
Background paper from my stash of Creative Imaginations paper, sadly this company is no longer around.

Thank you all for liking, looking, commenting on my projects, I really do read every single comment.

Have a great day Dreamerz..

Friends til the end..

Good Morning Dreamerz..

Today I want to share with you a cute card I created for a friend because I just want her to know how much I am there for her.

Card Recipe:
KaDoodle Bug Digi Stamp Bunny in Flowers Colored with Copics and Faber Castell Albrecht Durer Water colors.  Thin layer of glossy accents applied over just the flowers to give them that "dew-y fresh in the garden appearance"
Sentiment from Jaded Blossom "Best Friends" stamp set
After I had colored the digi stamp I created the card base simply by using various PrismaColor pencils in shades of green for the grass, then applied pebbles chalks to the upper portion to create the sky. affixed foam pop dots to back of Bunny and attached to front of card.  The cute little rhinestone snail is from my stash.

Have a great day Dreamerz and if you have a friend you will always be there for do not forget to let them know in some simple way.

Tulips and Bugs ~ CAGI Challenge 118

Good Morning Dreamerz

This morning I want to share with you a cute fancy fold card, although my card does not technically fold as much as it slides up to reveal a spot for a sentiment.  The Image is from Bugaboo Stamps and their digi images are so adorable and fun to color.  I suggest you hop on over and grab a few, BTW they offer a freebie every Friday!!

Card Recipe:

Tulips and Bugs digi stamp colored in various copics then gone over with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol
Card Template from Birds Cards
Iridescent stickles applied to ladybugs and the lil dots to highlight
Glossy accents applied over ladybugs to give dimension and shine

Hello Gorgeous and the mis-adventures of 2 crafty girls

Good Morning Dreamerz,

This morning I am going to share a CAS card.  Now this card did not go as planned from the get go.  I have misplaced my Ranger White embossing powder somewhere in my craft room which is a big shocker because my room is pretty well organised with a clearly labeled box "EMBOSSING" which is where all things embossing go, powders, heat gun, extra versamark pad, tiny detail paint brushes for removing stray bits of powder you get the idea right? Well I go to grab the white powder and it is missing, start tearing up the craft room and looking in possible spots I could have misplaced it only to realize the powder was not to be found this day!!  So off I go to Redlands with Jessica Flynn in tow to help keep my spending in check, to search for Ranger White embossing powder, yes seriously this is the most rich white I have ever used.  1st stop Hobby Lobby no Ranger White but I did find a Dylusions stamp set I just had to have hhmm 40% off, yep I can get it.  2nd stop Michaels no Ranger White there either but I did pick up some embossing powder called Snow and used my coupon.  3rd stop Joanns no Ranger White but oh looky another Dylusions stamp set I probably should get and yep you guessed it I had a 40% off coupon!!
So I head home defeated but with this "Other Embossing Powder"

Card Recipe
purple/magenta layer die cut using Fancy Frames Dies
Girl with flowers stamp Unity Stamp Company embossed in SNOW powder
Banner die cut using banner from Mix it Up Dies
Sentiment from Cricut embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder
Bow from Bow Dies

In closing I just want to say my card is made with the other powder which is more SILVER in color so needless to say I am now ordering Ranger White off Amazon as obviously I cannot be trusted to not spend in an actual craft store and Amazon in the long run is cheaper on my crafting budget.

Oh all was not lost Jessica Flynn while failing in her job to keep me from spending any money on anything other than Ranger White Embossing powder, did have a great idea which was to go drown my crafting sorrow at Clarkies in a Cinnamon Streusel Muffin.  Which while bad for my waistline made me feel better..

Have a Great Day Dreamerz.. I know I will..

Adjust your Tiara, and get on with it..

Good Morning Dreamerz..

It has been over a week since I posted to the blog.  I honestly had crawled into my own cave and am just now emerging.  So this morning I thought I would share a really fun card using Princess Narwahl a digi stamp from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  I colored her completely in Prismacolor Premier pencils and then blended with gamsol.  Of course she needed a lil sparkle so various colors of stickles applied just to add a bit of fun..

Have a great day Dreamerz...
